Job 33:4,6

The Spirit of God has made me, and the breath of the Almighty gives me life.... I am toward God as you are; I too was pinched off from a piece of clay.

Just like fire that resist the water and refuses to go out, we continue to fight the will of God.   The stubborn reality is that we are not the potter of our own clay.  God had made us in His own image.  He shaped us with perfection. His measurements as the Creator is like a formula that should never be changed.  In science. a breach in the laws of physics is like breaking a covenant with God.  It causes a reaction that turn into a Katrina.  The stubborn disregard to do what feels is contitutional or political correct, continues to violate the laws that God has written for us to follow.     The intentional violation of God's covenants is like playing with a flame that infects everything around you.    There is a principal reminder to us that for every action there is a reaction.  We can play with the clay and pretend to end, but in the final judgment we will be faced with the same laws again.

Quiet The Ember

poetic prayer by Danny Smith

November 15th 2008

Father, hear our crys and listen to our plea!

Water the fire with tears from your sea!

Give mercy for souls lost in the wind

Forgive us dear Lord if we have sin

Quiet this Ember drifting to a flame

Heal the root that bears the blame

Send the rain to wash the clay

Refine us in the light of day

Amen
