A
Walk With Jesus
By:
T.L. Hilliard
Psalm
123:1-4
A
song of ascents.
I
lift up my eyes to you,
to you whose throne is in heaven.
As
the eyes of slaves look to the hand of their master,
as the eyes of a maid look
to the hand of her mistress,
so our eyes look to the LORD
our God,
till he shows us his mercy.
Have
mercy on us, O LORD, have mercy on us,
for we have endured much contempt.
We
have endured much ridicule from the proud,
much contempt from the arrogant.

It
is a beautiful spring day on the beach no one else around this early
in the morning as I stand at the waters edge a breeze on my face
and the taste of the salt air. I let the waves roll over my feet
and feel the sand move as the tide goes out. Such a peaceful time
of the day and a special time that I spend with God, and then I
feel a hand on my shoulder, look up, and smile as I see Jesus at
my side my eyes fixed on Him, my ears only hear the words that Jesus
speaks.

He
offers me his hand and we begin to walk down the coast. Just Jesus
and me alone on the beach I can't believe that He came to spend
this special time, He listens to me and I am in awe of the special
personal conversation that we are having. We talk of my past, the
time before I opened my eyes, heart and mind to His Father and Him
and of my walk with Him from the day the Spirit entered my body.
He knew it all, He didn't care, Jesus reminded me that I was forgiven
that day when I stepped into that cold shower to be cleansed. I
spoke to Jesus about my walk and the hard times, those who did not
embrace His love as I do the attacks of Satan.

Jesus
stops and sits on a piece of driftwood and gestures to me to sit
on His right, just as I have pictured that Mary did when He came
to visit at her house. Looking up again into His eyes we continue
with our conversation and Jesus tells me of all the works that I
have done in His name as a servant of His Father and that I am doing
well, the troubles I go through are for a purpose.

We
are silent for a moment and I can hear the waves, and feel the breeze
again on my face. Again, Jesus begins to speak and it is a prayer
to His Father;
Father,
please guide my sister, your servant; remind her of the Love you
have always had for her. Please show her that the faith and love
that she has for the trinity, and all the creatures here on earth
is all that you require of her, continue to fill her with love for
her to pass along to your sons and daughters. As she acknowledges
her sin please forgive her as you have promised and I have paid
for. Father her love is great and her heart is filled teach her
my Father In
your name we pray, As
we say Amen together I glance up again to my savior and Jesus is
gone, yet I still feel His presence, His arms around me and His
warmth fills my body, I hear in my head “I will always be here with
you, just look up and open your heart.” Amen
