Let A Woman Speak

1st Peter chapter 2 (verse 1) Wherefore laying aside all malice,

and all guile, and hypocrisies, and all evil speaking.

While reading this verse it brought a lot of feelings and mostly denial due to me wanting to think  none of these apply to me and how I treat others. One particular situation stood out.  Acouple of years ago I went to a women's convention and this certain lady just crawled under my skin. She was nosy, asked a lot of questions about my personal life and at the time I was walking through a divorce that had gone bad.

My friend had left me and her in the hotel room together and she began to ask me things, my response to her was very mean, sarcastic, snippy and inconsiderate of how it may have made her feel. About 20 minutes of this back and forth went on with me and this lady.

I turned and looked at her and she began to cry and said to me "You're not the only one going through something, I'm hurting too and going through a lot myself", You"re not the only one that has feelings and you should stop and think about the other person before you just take it upon yourself to say stuff without knowing or caring about others.

At that moment my heart began to melt, I could see and feel her pain and the need she had to be Loved, she needed someone and I couldn't see or help her due to my own personal opinion of who I thought she was.

I learned a valuable lesson that day.   She and I became friends and I was able to apologize and ask her what I could do to help her through this situation.

From dawn to dusk we seek the cure by up up and away

"GOD" uses all situations, people and things to get our attention.  From that day on I have been conscientious of where people might be, what they might be going through and to see them through the eyes of "GOD" rather than my own eyes.

Being soldiers of GOD we MUST put aside the lies we tell ourselves about who we are, stop pretending to be something we're not, stop speaking against each other and stop wanting what others have.
 

I will close with saying LOVE the ones you feel distanced to the same as the ones you feel close too.
