"Cost
Of Sin Today" (CO$T)
Matthew
16:26: For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the
whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in
exchange for his soul?

In
a moment of sin, the moral balance of your entire life can be shifted.
Have you ever committed a wrong that you could not make right? Our
devotional message is about the cost of sin today.
As
Christians we must examine the balance sheet of our lives when temptation
steps into our pathway. What are you willing to sacrifice in order
to have a sin in our life? Does the cost of doing what we want outweigh
the gift of salvation?
In the public eye it is easy to hide our sinful things were no one
can find them. I have heard many stories about free will and how
God gives us the right to choose. As we draw closer to God, our
battle is no longer with the world that we live in. The war that
we must engage is in the field of our mind and the core of our heart.
It is easy to use our intellect to over shadow the truth. However,
God sees all things. He knows what is really behind a lack of interest.
A Father knows when his child has been bad. God knows what is hidden
in quiet places of our personal lives.

The
battle against what enters our mind must be treated like an infection.
When we don't fight what we think, it clogs our veins and impacts
how we feel towards each other.
For
the last three years, I have struggled to control what I think and
what I feel in my heart. Many times, what we see is not real. We
react without looking beyond the person, place or thing.
The
steps towards glorification and change must begin with giving the
balance of our lives to God. It follows with not being afraid to
be wrong or exposed. It requires the willingness to suffer for what
is righteous and for what gives glory to God. We may not have all
of the good answers, but we can give our mistakes to God. He is
glorified when what admit we have sin. If we deny the enemy the
sin that he want from us, we become rich in the Spirit of God. It
is very much like IRS. If we show the agent who audits what
we have spent, the error of our bookkeeping, can correct the wrong
and make it right. We must always be able to reconcile with God.
We must learn to spend our lives carefully in order to be saved.
In the end, the quick books of our personal lives must balance with
the book of life in Heaven.

Prayer
Redeem us oh Lord, forgive us for our sin dear Father. We are nothing
without YOU OH GOD! Teach how to keep the cost of sin out of our
lives. Teach us DEAR GOD, Teach us! Bless our thought with the water
of life which is Christ Jesus. Let the lessons from the Holy Spirit
spill from our bellies. Refine us dear LORD, Refine us! We are the
dirt on the shirt oh God, sweep us with mercy and forgiveness. Bring
us to the end of our flesh. Teach us how to be CHRISTLIKE in every
way. Tell the enemy about the victory that is coming. Bless us dear
Lord with healing and deliverance. In Jesus Name
Amen

"Every
week we have seven days to find one soul that doesn't know the love
of God" Ask God to show that one soul that need to be found. Take
the time to share the gift of love and fellowship. Allow your heart
to embrace the suffering of others".
