"God's
Promises Never Fail"
Glory
to God.
Hi,
everybody my name is Tina and I am from India . I am now in charge
of writing weekly devotionals for Purple Ark Ministries under "Voices
in India"
.
I wanted
to start out by introducing myself and share my testimony with all
of you.
I
am from a Non Christian Background. I got to know the Lord and accepted
him as my personal Lord and Saviour back in 2005 Dec. Ever since
then my walk with the Lord has been wonderful. But, that does not
mean my walk with the Lord has been a bed of roses. I have had times
when I wanted to give up, times when I didn't understand what was
happening and so on.
I
knew God's calling was in my life but I didn't know how he was going
to use me because I was the only believer in Christ in my family
and I had people around me who wouldn't accept my choice. All that
I could think about was how am I going to spread the word of God?
I
was going through a difficult period personally at the time when
I accepted the Lord. I had a lot of emotions inside of me that I
carried from when I was 10 years old and I wanted someone to talk
to and share this with and God spoke to me and asked me to start
writing.
I
was dazzled because, I am a poor reader, and I have had people tell
me those who don't have a habit of reading can't really write. I
hardly read any books and so I was not too sure of what I was going
to write. But, I did it anyways and I started my own blog and I
started to write poems and articles. I have been doing it for almost
2 years now and I have also published my first poetry collection.
Isn't it weird that God works in mysterious ways and brings out
hidden talents in you? How amazing is our God?
I
wouldn't say things are perfect in my life right now, but God has
fulfilled his promise to me and everything made sense finally. He
called me to his purpose, made me write and write and write till
I got the confidence that yes I am a writer and that people do like
reading and associating themselves with my work.
One
such person was Danny Smith, who read my poems and had emailed me.
After, exchanging a few emails, I asked Dan if I could contribute
toward spreading the good news and guess what? Here I am.
God
called me; I didn't know what I was going to do or how I was going
to do it. He made me a poet and a writer when I had no experience
or interest in this field. Now, things have come to pass.
What
I have learnt and what I want to share with you today is this. Our
God is a living God whose promises never fail. "He
who promised is faithful" (Hebrew 10:23). "Not one
word has failed of all his good promises" (Kings 8:56).
We
live in a disintegrated world and have to lead a supernatural life.
Our life as Christians is not an easy one friend. I am not perfect,
I make bad choices, I at times want to give up to a point where
I think to myself how am I different from the people of this world
because of the mistakes I make?
No
matter what the situation is in your life today. Remember one thing
that our God never gives up on you and he only wants what is BEST
for you. He is always ready to forgive you and give you all that
he has promised. Do you believe it today?
Precious
people of God say this prayer today and see God work wonders in
your life.
Father
in heaven, Thank you for all the promises you have given us, for
all the promises you are going to fulfill. I commit my life in to
your hands dear Lord and I pray that you fill me with your joy,
peace and happiness and help me to stay focused on you. In Jesus
most precious name. Amen.
Note:
The
bible is full of God's promises to his people. I would like to encourage
you to read such verses and strength your faith.
Blessings
Tina
