Holy Spirit

"He Shall teach you all things"

Acts 2:2 (NIV) “Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting.

John 14, 25 “These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you. But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.”

I find myself embraced by a quiet moment as I think about my service tomorrow for the poor at a local community.   It has been a difficult tour to work with some of the hurt that comes back after two weeks.   We are talking about good brothers and sisters who have become angry, who don't know what to do about the mess they are in.  In many cases there is no food or not enough to get them through the week.

As a Minister of God,   Many of us are called to preach the gospel, as we are lead by the Holy Spirit. Our purpose cannot be to impress anyone or be seen by the world.  Even after we have decreased so that God would increase, we still see the enemy pulling against the state of hope that is trying to break through.   It is an up and down learning process.  What have I done different? Maybe I should look back and repeat what the Holy Spirit showed  me two weeks ago. I ask myself, Am I trying to lead the Holy Spirit, instead being lead by the Holy Spirit ? It is our human nature to get in God's way. I don't see it as intentional.   As Christians we always want to show God what we have learned. Even as a toddler we want to show the parent that we can take that first step alone. In our short attempt to gain our footing, we quickly find ourselves needing God to finish the trip across the living room.  It doesn't take much for a world to get too far ahead of God.  We sometimes want to declare our independence to be human.

In this effort to share what God has put on my heart, I have chosen to be transparent and risk being wrong in order to be right with God. We can apply a degree of education and still miss the most important part of God's plan. Faith is a continued process. As we exercise the word of God in faith, the Holy Spirit begins to lead each one of us ..

In closing I want share this testimony from last month in Corona.   During a time of prayer service, several souls gathered in front of the santuary, I suddenly realized that there was no one available to translate for me. I looked upward and asked God to release His Holy Spirit upon the people and He Did! God is so amazing, he touch a three yr old boy and the child lifted his hands and began to pray in the Spirit of God. No verbal translation was being made doing this time. I lost count of the people who came up for prayer as I became exhausted in the Spirit Realm. One by one, the Lord touch the people at the mission site. You could see the awesome presence of God upon the eyes of the believers. No translation of English had yet come forth as the people begin shake from the wind of the Holy Presence of God. We are in a season of miracles. My expectation of faith is, “God is going to do something that is beyond what we think we know”, beyond what we think is abnormal. The final conclusion to this devotional message is simply, trust God and depend on his direction of the Holy Spirit. As Believers, we must not limit the Creator. He will do so much more if we depend on Him!

"Today"

Today, I will listen for the song that the wind will play

Today I will pray and ask God what to say.

Today I will remember that I am the Porter's clay.

Today I will ask the Lord to brighten the day

Today I pray that my mind does not stray

Today, I will pray to stay out of God's way.

Devotional Prayer

Dear Lord, please forgive me if I have excluded your Holy Spirit.  Teach me oh God how to be more sensitive to your presence.  I submit my will to you again.  I admit that helpless without You!  Teach us oh Comforter, Teach us.  We are lost without your guidance.  Thank you precious Lord,  In Jesus Name.  Amen

PASS THIS ON....

"Every week we have seven days to find one soul that doesn't know the love of God"  Ask God to show that one soul that need to be found.  Take the time to share the gift of love and fellowship.  Allow your heart to embrace the suffering of others.
