"Is
Christ Calling You?"
A
Simple Step in Salvation
The
New Testament or New Covenant is the completion of God's redemptive
work for mankind. God is calling you right now if you are reading
this devotion. Maybe you stumbled upon this website and began to
investigate the materials within the website. Maybe you are searching
for a meaning or purpose to satisfy your personal desires. Either
way, I believe the Holy Spirit has given you an appointment of time
here and desires you to receive His calling.
Calling
in the New Testament is primarily used by the Apostle Paul throughout
his writings. Generally, he uses this term or phrase to bring the
reader closer to God and through Jesus Christ provide the opportunity
to accept or reject salvation. Paul preached extensively teaching
and exhorting the gospel to the Gentiles and the Jews. His ministry
was extensive proclaiming all that God had desired him to teach
with great power.
The
book of Genesis, the book of beginnings primarily recognized by
the secular world as the book that talks about creation is God speaking.
The creation order becoming a physical attribute that you and I
see today testifies of God's existence. Our senses know that something
beyond “chance” encircles us. More than a dozen times the verses
of Genesis begin with “and God said”…………
Gen
1:3 And God said
Gen
1:6 And God said
If
God spoke and the heavens were put in order and after 7 days he
rested, then doesn't your heart speak to you that maybe we should
listen for God's voice in our hearts and do those things which He
tells us to do? God's first created physical attribute that He spoke
into existence was “light”. God wants us to see His glory attributes,
power, and manifested those attributes into His creation for all
mankind to know.
God
is light declares the bible!
Isa
45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create
evil: I the LORD do all these things.
2Co
4:6 For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath
shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the
glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
Mat
17:1 And after six days Jesus taketh Peter, James, and John his
brother, and bringeth them up into a high mountain apart,
Mat
17:2 And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as
the sun, and his raiment was white as the light.
God
gave His only Son to mankind to fill the great divide of sin that
occurred from the first Adam. Jesus Christ is the only way to God
the Father. Jesus was the last sacrifice for your sins, a perfect
lamb without blemish that died for you on the cross to satisfy the
sin debt offering for all mankind. Jesus came into this world to
bridge the gap between man and God. God clothed Adam and Eve in
the Garden of Eden with the skins of an animal, the first sacrifice
to satisfy the sins they committed-blood had to be poured from God's
creation.
Jesus
offered himself with great humility and obedience to God the Father
as the perfect blood sacrifice as a propitiation for our sins. We
are justified in the sight of God through Jesus Christ and Him alone.
Without Jesus, you are eternally dead in your sins and eternally
separated from God. Jesus called His disciples and they listened
without hesitation and followed Him for 3 1/2 years. Jesus calls
you through the power of the Holy Spirit with a still small voice
that you “hear” in your heart and conscience - a little voice that
tells you that you're a sinner and you need Jesus in your life.
The
simple call of Jesus is what you're hearing now if you are reading
this devotional. Jesus wants you to give your sins to Him. If you
confess with your mouth your sins, then Jesus is faithful to forgive
you of your sins. No sin is too great for Jesus. Sin separates you
from the gift of God for peace in your life, eternal hope in your
life. Light of the world, Jesus Christ is calling you today.
The
call is simple the response you give is simple. There is no need
to do a ritual, to complete some sort of servitude, pay financially
to someone to clean you of your debt, to scar your body, to sacrifice
something to gain God's favor.
Simply,
call upon the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and you shall be saved.
If you desire to be a part of God's kingdom and have eternal life
then pray this prayer:

Lord,
I want to leave behind the sins of my life. I am calling on Jesus
to forgive me of my sins and make me whole. I confess that I am
a sinner in need of Jesus and that His sacrifice on the cross of
Calvary is all that I need. His blood covers my sins and frees me
from Satan's chains. Jesus, would you come into my heart, change
my life, walk with me and guide me and be my Lord and Saviour. In
Jesus' name I pray.
Friend,
if you prayed this prayer from your heart, then the simple call
of Jesus has saved your soul for all eternity. The Light of the
world has come into your heart and is living in you right now. The
Holy Spirit is now within you in super natural means to forever
guide you in your walk with God. God loves you and wants you to
be obedient to Him. You need to learn more of God by reading His
Holy Bible, finding a church fellowship, and seeking the Lord daily.
God desires you to know Him intimately. He has a whole new life
in store for you.
Today
is a glorious day; all the angels of heaven are rejoicing that YOU
have come to know the Lord. That's right; all the angels of heaven
have rejoiced that You are now a kingdom heir and a “friend” of
God. You are a saint, yes a saint! You are a precious jewel to God
and He desires your obedience to Him.
Joh
15:13 Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his
life for his friends.
Joh
15:14 Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.
Joh
15:15 Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth
not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all
things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.
