Chronicles 4:10 Jabez cried out to the God of Israel, "Oh,
that you would bless me and enlarge my territory! Let your hand
be with me, and keep me from harm so that I will be free from pain."
And God granted his request.
Coming
back from two weeks in North Carolina, I found myself in a flu state
of mind. It was as if I had been injected with a holy annointing
from God. Everything at home had changed for me. My mind was fevered
with a hunger for Christ. I went to North Carolina with the intent
to spend every single minute writing and preparing grants.
All this changed as God rescheduled me to reach the spiritually
poor.
On my first day in the small valley called Maxton, North Carolina,
I met an old school mate, Brenda Fairley-Ferbee who was now a pastor
and well known prophetess I discovered. We knew each other
right away by the Spirit. This moment opened the doors to the event
that I will share. In the brief encounter, I was brought to
my knees with joy as she spoke a sharp word from God into my spirit.
I was not the same after that day.
The next day, I walked into a store and I was drawn to this woman
as I passed by her. I circled the store and as I stepped toward
this person, she starting shaking and I began praying in the Spirit
for a woman I did not know. It was so beautiful to watch God at
work. She started receiving the Holy Spirit before I could greet
her properly. This experience would continue throughout the week.
After
leaving a nearby city a few days later, I walked into a local Indian
gift shop, a wonderful lady greeted me and as I walked toward her,
she started speaking in the holy language! A woman nearby
in the store knew what was happening and joined us in prayer. I
could not speak about anything until the Holy Spirit was done. I
was taken by the experience as much as anyone else. This was new
for me. The Indian lady with sandy gray hair looked to me
and said, "Thank you for the Jabez blessing".
We
don't always realize that God is expanding us into new territory.
I am still changed from this moment in my Christ walk. The
Lord protected me gave me rest in a place that I normally am fearful
and uneasy. I know that I will never be the same after reaching
so far to touch God.
Holy Father, thank you for giving my life purpose. Thank you for
your gift to minister to the spiritually poor! Thank you for the
love that defines the character of Jesus. Thank for this journey
that has given me a new level of faith in Jesus. Thank you
for stretching me Lord. In Jesus Name Amen.
