Storm
of Deliverance
"The
Spirit of Evangelism"
Luke
5:1-11 Once while Jesus was standing beside the lake of Gennesaret,
and the crowd was pressing in on him to hear the word of God, he
saw two boats there at the shore of the lake; the fishermen had
gone out of them and were washing their nets. He got into one of
the boats, the one belonging to Simon, and asked him to put out
a little way from the shore. Then he sat down and taught the crowds
from the boat. When he had finished speaking, he said to Simon,
"Put out into the deep water and let down your nets for a catch."
Simon answered, "Master, we have worked all night long but
have caught nothing. Yet if you say so, I will let down the nets."
When they had done this, they caught so many fish that their nets
were beginning to break. So they signaled their partners in the
other boat to come and help them. And they came and filled both
boats, so that they began to sink. But when Simon Peter saw it,
he fell down at Jesus' knees, saying, "Go away from me, Lord,
for I am a sinful man!" For he and all who were with him were
amazed at the catch of fish that they had taken; and so also were
James and John, sons of Zebedee, who were partners with Simon. Then
Jesus said to Simon, "Do not be afraid; from now on you will
be catching people." When they had brought their boats to shore,
they left everything and followed Him.
There
is a movement of God emerging in the seas of souls; the water of
life is springing up from the outside into the church of God. The
prophetic gifts are beginning to burst upon the pews, releasing
a supernatural power of God. What a beautiful manifestation of the
Holy Spirit! I invite you to look beyond the simplicity of
normal occurrences and believe that God can do profound miracles
in your lives. The overflow of the Holy Spirit is causing waves
of healing and deliverance in the most usual places. I want you
to journey with me into the deep water that Jesus invited Simon
Peter into. Let us explore the deep rivers of broken communities
and families that are falling apart from spiritual poverty. Peter
was half hearted, but proceeded in obedience to Christ, but what
of the many who refuse to break away from their old traditions and
false religions? Forgive me if I have an opinion with a bird's eye
view but, we have work to do before time expires.
The
seeds in the vineyard are at risk because they have not received
the water of life which is Christ Jesus. An uncultivated soil hinders
the harvesting of souls.
In
the spiritual sense, evangelism gives us divine work experience
to serve the needs of a body in spiritual poverty. How can we deliver
a harvest if we do not go out into the field of souls? In the south
of North Carolina, my family worked in the corn fields. Imagine
looking out at two hundred acre of corn and telling one missionary
that he has a lot of corn to pull. People of God, us folks need
HELP! Inclusively, we must begin to harvest the fields of our community
in regiments. We no longer have the time for one person to pick
a whole field of corn! I am trying to be gentle with my words! Let
us consider going out in twos to proclaim the gospel and return
the experience back into the church? It works! I have seen churches
filled up because of the desire to go out and proclaim the gospel
of Jesus Christ. I believe it is the duty of the church to harvest
the field of souls surrounding its foundation.
Do
take notice that you are going to have a daily dog fights with the
enemy every time to help a soul reach to the altars in our churches.
Some of us will take off the armor and shield after a few
fights. I tell you that it does not get easier, but in your refinement
by fire, you will learn to walk through the affliction and not be
moved.
Let
us Pray: Father God, I stand in your refinement ready to move
forward no matter what is going on in the valley and shadows of
death. I am yours to command dear Father! Send me again; I
will go! I am standing on a hillside watching and waiting
to welcome the angel of war that will fall upon the land that God
created!
The
leaves of my tree have fallen and I am holding on to the substance
of my faith in You dear Father. My heart is broken, so many have
died already, but with my shield and sword, I am ready to fight
again. Send Your Holy Spirit to expose the enemy in the light
of deliverance. Let the praying begin, Let the fight drive the enemy
back into his den! Praise and Glory to our Father in Heaven!
In
Jesus Name Amen
