The
Sand Garden Part 1
"A
Church without Walls" by Danny Smith
Songs
of Solomon 4:16."Awake, O north wind; and come, thou south;
blow upon my garden, that the spices thereof may flow out. Let my
beloved come into his garden, and eat his pleasant fruits."
After
we have struggle and labored in the field of human anxiety, the
Lord comes and removes the broken pieces that have distorted His
creation. Today's devotional is about the return of Christ to His
Church.
The
test that is before us is to remove the walls and banners that hinder
God's love from overflowing into the dry places of the world. Without
the water of life which is Christ Jesus, the land will not produce
a great harvest. In the Song of Solomon, the north wind comes to
cultivate the fields that have not been cared for. Imagine the gardener
or caretaker who only waters the plants that pleases his eyes. From
a distance the beauty of the garden cannot be seen. The north wind
comes to prune the vines so that the creations of God can produce
good fruit. Imagine the rain that is evenly distributed into a harvest
of strawberries. Wow! It is the most beautiful smell that you could
imagine. The taste is pleasing when the season has ended. The Songs
of Solomon is a waltz to a symphony. When we give God what he wants
in abundance, it brings glory to His Kingdom.
The
harvest is not about one person, one soul or one church, it is about
the entire body of Christ, it is about the salvation of all souls.
The
storm that is coming is not to destroy, but to prune the roots of
evil that restricts the growth of God's perfect plan.
Let
us pray!
Dear
Heavenly Father, let the rain begin, we invite the Holy Spirit into
the sand garden, a dry place that needs the water of life, a dry
place that needs the pruning love of God. Today we will praise YOU
in the church without walls, today we will worship YOU with no banners.
Come my beloved, come and worship in your garden. Without you oh
Lord we are nothing but dust in the wind. Have mercy on the lost,
have mercy on the church. Remove the roots that hinder the presence
of God. It is time for the shaking to begin. It is time for the
spilling to wash away our sins.
“Come
light of day, come rain and stay. Fill the land with God's plan”.
In
Jesus Name Amen

Poem
The
Sand Garden
Come
let us dance in a church that has no walls,
Let
us dance in the land for Heaven's rain to fall
Come
let us raise a tabernacle to cover us all
Bless
the souls that come to hear the Father's call
Let
the whisper of the wind take us up into a spin,
Awake
oh north wind and bring evil to an end
Come
quake and let the shaking of His garden begin,
Let
the sifting fragrance of souls rejoice in the wind.
