Trust in God "Do not Let Your Own Understanding Take Control Of You"
Praise the Lord! I want to start out by sharing a verse known to all when it comes to the above topic "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths." Proverbs 3:5-6 It so happens that during our trying times and due to the different circumstances that surround our life we tend to lose track of our focus on GOD. It could also work the other way. We tend to lose our focus when we are too involved in something. During these times without realization we lean in to our own understanding. Many a times we realize it only when the problem goes out of control. The reason I am sharing this with you is because of my own personal experience. Over the last two weeks I have been fighting many thoughts in my head. Sometimes it's so frustrating. This past week I have been having thoughts that go against God's words. I read, I hear and I meditate on the word of God and he spoke to me, he said "Trust in Him at all times, you people; pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us...." Psalm 62:8-10 When we trust in God, He is faithful to fulfill His promises. Lately I feel so low that I just want to give in. But I quickly set my eyes on the Cross and I wait upon the Lord to answer me during my distress. It's so easy to give in and give up. But I believe that God's fighting my battle behind the scenes and it would do us no good if we decide to give in now and not press on. It is difficult I know. But let us put our Trust in the Lord. He has more clarity than we do. He knows what we are going through. He will breakthrough for us. That's what is keeping me going. I want all of you to remember this verse. Write it down in your heart "The Lord is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; and He knows those who trust in Him." Nahum 1:7
We can confidently say he is our best friend and he is a good God and our stronghold in days of trouble. We can be sure that Victory is ours.
Things may not seem alright. I don't know what you are going through, all I know is that our God is watching out for all of us. He that watches over Israel neither sleeps nor slumbers. Just hang in there and he will make a way where there seems no way. "Our soul waits for the Lord; He is our help and our shield. For our heart shall rejoice in Him, because we have trusted in His holy name." Psalm 33:20-21 Precious people of God say this prayer today and see God work wonders in your life. Father in heaven, I am not in control of my circumstances. I have placed all my worries and fears at the foot of the Cross. Lord, at times these situations overwhelm me and I tend to lean on my own understandings. I pray Father you will give me strength, clarity and guidance for every situation I face. I pray in the name of Jesus let all your promises manifest in my life. I give you all the glory, honor and praise. All of God's people say Amen!
Note: The bible is full of God's promises to his people. I would like to encourage you to read such verses and strength your faith.
