We serve a Mighty God, then, why Fear?

Do you know what a mighty God we serve? I mean I feel at times as believers we fail to see how big our God is. We might be so strong in our faith and would love our God so much that we think we are actually aware of how big he is. But also I‘ve seen that when we are put to the test. We tend to slip. I do!

 

It so happens that we as mortals live in a competitive world. We spend most of our times either at schools, colleges or at our work place. We are surrounded by an environment filled with both believers and non believers. So what is my connection to this week's word got to do with these places?

 

How many of us who are in schools or colleges feel scared when you hear the word “EXAM”? How many of us at our work place feel scared that we might be laid off due to the current recession? I am sure many of us have had this thought or are experiencing it as we speak.

So what is Fear to you in your life? Fear could be a reason for your apprehension; it could be a condition that is marked by this feeling. It could be anything that is scaring you from performing a particular task and so on and so forth. Now fear is a feeling or an emotion that Satan's uses to make us feel and weak. I would go one step ahead and say it is a kind of bondage. Now, do you think we have to be worried about this “Fear”?

 

We all know the answer to that. “NO”, “WHY”? Because God says: “ For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.” ( 2 Timothy 1:7)


So we know now that God is not the one who imparted the spirit of fear in us and that it is the work of the devil. Now you might ask me, Tina, Are you saying that you don't fear anything? I would be lying if I say Yeah I don't. I do fear at times. But as a believer I've learnt to work my way around it and that my friends is how we can boldly confess that we will not fear for Lord Our God Is With Us. Amen. “ The LORD is for me; I will not fear; what can man do to me?”

( Psalm 118:6).

Over the past few weeks I have observed that God has been working in my life in such a way that today when I was travelling back home by bus I just realized that we serve such a Mighty God. It's not a normal realization, if you know what I mean. I was amazed and astonished at all that the Lord has done not just in my life but all around the world.

I urge you today to sit back and reflect on all that the Lord have done for you and I want to encourage you today that no matter what your fear is, submit yourself and your burdens to the Lord and I assure you he will turn things around for good. He did it in my life but I did not wait for him to give me the results so that my natural eyes could see and believe in him, but instead I took a step of faith and I trusted him with all my heart and claimed all the promises the Lord has in store for me.

 

Take a step of Faith today and see what a Mighty God we Serve.” Though a mighty army surrounds me, my heart will not be afraid. Even if I am attacked, I will remain confident. Psalm 27:3) Shadow Woman by deflorio2.

  Precious people of God say this prayer today and see God

work wonder in your life.  Father in heaven, thank you for your loving kindness. Lord, I pray that every fear that has gripped people's heart be removed in the name of Jesus. I pray dear Lord that you would be our shield as we take refugee in you. I receive all that you have for me and I pray that you would help me to trust in you at all times. Thank you for your grace and mercy Lord.

In Jesus most precious name we pray. Amen
